Take the dreamy, electropop sensibilities of 80’s bands like Depeche Mode and Modern English, and combine them with the darkness of more modern new wave bands like No Devotion, and you’ll find yourself with something that sounds a lot like Philadelphia’s Blood Sound.
The trio, who describe their nostalgic, moody sound as “dark prom pop,” has just released two singles — “Decade of Nothing” and “Nothing + Rockets” — that it plans to include on a forthcoming album.
Each new song features atmospheric, dreamy synths that add layers of rich ambiance over bassist (and Valley native) Tristan McKeever’s tight, infectious grooves and the poignant vocals of singer Chris J.
