PHOTOS: Steve Brosky’s Big Lil’ Band at Godfrey Daniels
The unique, storied listening room at Godfrey Daniels was packed on Friday night, and for good reason: local legend Steve Brosky brought his Big Lil’ Band into town for two-plus hours of blues, soul, and more.
Brosky and his band, notably including frequent collaborator and guitarist extraordinaire Jimmy Meyer, played selections from throughout his catalog, including older favorites like “Cadillac Radio” and “Trouble,” to selections from Brosky’s new album, “Still,” including “Madam Blue” and “In Your Arms,” which can be heard on this past Monday’s edition of The Quinn Spinn.
Adding to the fun atmosphere was the band’s apparent onstage chemistry, which could be observed as the members traded stories and vocal duties throughout the night. Brosky was particularly welcoming, using his trademark sense of humor to make each member of the audience feel like a part of the show.
