The Ninth Annual Launch Music Conference & Festival hits downtown Lancaster from April 13-16, and a handful of Lehigh Valley artists are on the bill and looking to make an impression on their regional colleagues and the music industry professionals who will be in attendance.
Kicking things off to represent the Valley on Thursday night will be Alex Mery & The Townsmen. The folk-punk trio, who seem to have been taking over our region as of late, will take their unique sound to the outdoor York College Stage at 7:30 p.m.
For the late crowd that same night (after midnight, to be exact) is singer-songwriter Neil Grover, who you’ve recently heard on our official podcast, The Quinn Spinn. Neil will be playing his tender originals on the Marion Court stage at 12:15 a.m.
Speaking of a late night at Marion Court, that’s where our friend Pentley Holmes will be in the wee hours of Saturday morning, playing a 1 a.m. set of tunes from his tremendous folk/soul release, “Rip Out My Heart.”
We send a big Lehigh Valley Underground congratulations to these performers, and we look forward to heading on a road trip to see them and plenty of other great, independent artists in Lancaster next month.
Make sure you check in with us here on LVU and on social media for updates throughout the second weekend of April.
