It can be a tough sell to get people out of their homes on a Tuesday night for an evening on the town. However, Scott Marshall, Rocking the Valley, and a host of artists, organizations, and vendors had no problem doing just that, bringing close to 100 supporters out to the Jetport Bar & Lounge Tuesday night in the name of pediatric cancer awareness.
The event, sponsored in part by LVU and the Greater Lehigh Valley Music Association, was a precursor to Marshall’s June 3 benefit at Bethlehem’s Steel Pub, and featured the talents of Marshall alongside GirlCrue’s Paula Battavio, three-time LVMA winner Jordyn Kenzie, Copper Fields, Off the Road, and Glue Factory for a night encompassing rock, roots, blues, country, and more. Special guests included Social Call’s Larry Werner and Stereotype’s Mike Stanley, a pair of fellow cancer survivors alongside Marshall who performed selections from their collective Band of Survivors project.
All proceeds from this evening of unity benefited local pediatric cancer support organizations in the Valley. In the spirit of the event, enjoy one big, happy photo gallery below!
