Saturday was a beautiful day for fresh fruit, family fun, and an afternoon of live music — and Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites had just what the doctor ordered.
The organization began its two-day Blueberry Festival at Burnside Plantation on Saturday morning; a celebration of summer and all things related to the fruit. Attendees have the chance to sample blueberry-infused anything — including (but not limited to) pie, ice cream, beer, wine, mead, and more — while enjoying crafts, pie-eating contests, and live performers across multiple genres.
In my visit, I had a chance to take in the sights, tastes, and sounds — namely, those of vintage jazz band Barrel House Brothers — and I share those photos with you. If you agree that this looks like a great time (which it was), you can still catch Day 2 of the festival this afternoon.
