Celtic Classic 2017: Bagpipes, Stepdancers, and Rock

We got a little taste of everything at Day 2 of the 30th Annual Celtic Classic in Historic Downtown Bethlehem.

We arrived in the evening, just in time to see the pipe bands march into the Highland Field for the Grade 4 Band Awards Ceremony. From there, we headed over to the Tavern in the Glen, where we caught another riveting set from Syr, whom you may recall us experiencing for the first time on Friday night.

Then, after a quick detour over to The Wooden Match to catch another festival weekend set from Another Day Dawns (more on that later), we came back to take in some traditional Irish step dancing, courtesy of the local O’Grady Quinlan Academy of Irish Dance chapter. Then, it was on to the Grand Pavilion, where Canadian Celtic stomp rockers Glengarry Bhoys were playing an entertaining, engaging set to a packed house.

Take a look at our adventures below, and remember: you still have time to get out there for the festival’s conclusion today!
