Maverick da Roninn Gives a Look into ‘Overtime’ with ‘Medicine’

While Gamers Interlude 2 is still hot off the press, Bethlehem-based nerdcore rapper Maverick da Roninn is already working “Overtime.”

That’s the title of Maverick’s forthcoming EP, from which he’s released the first single and video, “Medicine.” Over a slick, 808-laden beat from producer Jvst X, Maverick and special guest Kickflamez use the verses to express their affections to the women in their lives.

The video itself uses footage from various Batman animated series’, featuring the often-hot and heavy relationships of the characters therein. The video is cut in such a way that suggests the entire Batman universe gets around with one another. Just about everyone this side of The Penguin gets a little bit of action.

The excitement for Maverick da Roninn continues this Saturday, October 14 at Sportsmen’s Cafe in Allentown when the rapper presents a special 27th birthday edition of his S.T.A.R. City Showcase series. Hosted by DJ Master T and 610nly, the showcase will feature Maverick alongside other indie artists including J-Rod, Blind Richi, CapCizza the Griphon, Christopher Weaver, TRUTH, Devin Hailey, Johnny Curcio, Buddha, Cheech Myers, A-Town Slim, and Wu-Tang affiliate Judah Priest. More information is available here.
