Since January 2016, Lehigh Valley Underground has been proud to serve the local music scene in eastern Pennsylvania, western New Jersey, and beyond. We’ll be turning 2 this January, and we want to do something special to celebrate how far we’ve all come together as a community.
So, we’re doing it in style!
This morning, we are proud to announce that we are teaming up with ArtsQuest to host the Lehigh Valley Underground 2nd Birthday Spectacular, set to take place Friday, January 19, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. inside of the ArtsQuest Center’s Blast Furnace Room at SteelStacks (101 Founders Way, Bethlehem).
We’re planning a one-of-a-kind celebration for all members of our local music scene. A fun retrospective with an eye to the future, our 2nd Birthday Spectacular will shine a light on the talented musicians and community partners who are a constant source of inspiration for Lehigh Valley Underground’s work within our community.
On this unforgettable evening, we’ll have surprises, birthday cake, and three Lehigh Valley-based performers for guests to enjoy. Our lineup features (in order of appearance) singer-songwriter Kara Hartzell, who has recently found success with her debut EP, “When I’m Home;” alt-prog rockers Kill the Broadcast, who recently returned from hiatus to unveil their new lineup and sound at Shocktoberfest in Sinking Spring on October 28; and Bethlehem-based rockers Dear Anna, whose lively stage performances have been enjoyed by fans up and down the East Coast.
The presence of live, local, and original music throughout the Lehigh Valley becomes more prominent by the day. Help us commemorate where we’ve been together over these past two years – and most importantly, where we’re going in 2018 and beyond.
More information, including an official event poster, sponsorship opportunities, and additional details are forthcoming. For now, make your plans to join us. Tickets will be available for $10 within the coming days at SteelStacks.org, and you can let us know you’re coming on Facebook.
