Thursday night at The Gin Mill and Grille featured a twin bill of singer-songwriters headlined by Neil Grover, who is preparing to release his debut EP, “Whoa,” in 2018
Grover received opening support from Kara Hartzell. The singer-songwriter, who will open the Lehigh Valley Underground 2nd Birthday Spectacular on Friday, January 19 at SteelStacks, performed selections from her current EP, “When I’m Home,” as well as soulful, inspired new material slated for an upcoming release this winter.
Grover then took the stage, performing some songs on keys before switching over to guitar and seamlessly excelling at both. Highlights included the defiant, “Don’t Give a Damn Anymore,” his popular, stripped-down cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab,” and fiery set closer “Politics,” which he announced will be released as the next single from “Whoa” on Thursday, January 4.
