The 2017 LVU Fan’s Choice Award Winners Are…

Earlier this fall, we had a fun idea that we’re now calling an annual tradition: to give the Lehigh Valley Underground audience a chance to make their year-end picks as part of the new LVU Fan’s Choice Awards.

We were amazed — and honestly, a bit pleasantly surprised — to see that nearly 1,000 people voted on their favorites from the year. Now, we announce the results…

Singer-songwriter Leah Marie Fuls was selected by you, the local music fans, to win two Fan’s Choice Awards: one for Best Album of 2017 for her release, “You’re Never Gone,” as well as Best Song of 2017 for the album’s title track. Fuls also came close to capturing Best Solo Artist of 2017, but was edged out by Julia Sommer, who takes home the honor.

Pocono-based punk rockers Blind Choice burst onto the scene — and into our consciousness — by running away with the LVU Fan’s Choice Award for Best Full Band of 2017.

Full results are below. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees!
