The #LVUFirstFriday train rolls along into March, with a fresh slate of local music – and variety – that is sure to delight on Friday, March 2 in South Bethlehem.
It all starts at a brand-new venue this month. EZ Money, the buy-and-sell shop located at 10 W. 4th St. in South Bethlehem, will host Lehigh Valley Music Award-nominated rapper Atown Slim for an in-store performance beginning at 5 p.m. The rapper will bring hip hop back to First Friday, fresh off of the release of his latest project, “610 Heartbreaks,” released on Valentine’s Day. Meanwhile, the store will be running a special First Friday sale on its wide selection of musical instruments and equipment throughout the day.
Your listening options expand further in the 6 o’clock hour, with rock ‘n groove jam band Mosey Beat performing inside of The Banana Factory’s Crayola Gallery beginning at 6 p.m. Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Cory Shelly will be just across the street at Comfort Suites Hill to Hill Grille, and Molly’s Irish Grille & Sports Pub will welcome back resident First Friday performer Brian Kibler.
Like gyros and Americana? Then you’ll love folk duo aGirl & aGuy, who will perform from 6:30-8 p.m. at Greek Meat Guy at 129 E. 3rd St. Then, take a stroll a block west to Domaci Home Décor and Gifts, where folk duo The Ancient Oaks will grace us all with their talents beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Also, just added: Tye Vallone of The Groove Merchants will be at SouthSide 313 playing another solo set this First Friday from 7:30-8:30 p.m., before John Sears and the Stock Music Company go on at 9.
The lineup is subject to change – more likely with additions, rather than subtractions. Keep an eye out for updates, and take a look at the whole thing below, in easily-digestible format
