The June 2018 Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series Lineup (So Far!)
A quick note on what you are about to read: this isn’t the final version of our June 2018 Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series lineup, sponsored by SouthSide Arts District and Banko Beverage Co. and set for South Bethlehem on Friday, June 1. We’re still working on finalizing one or two more venues (and their associated acts). So, expect additions to this before too long.
With that said, what a lineup we have! We’ve already announced that the Banko Beverage Co. Beer Garden will very appropriately host Philly’s First of June on the South Bethlehem Greenway (Mechanic St. between Webster and Adams). What we haven’t already told you, though, is that our beloved Garden will feature even more than beer and music. You’ll now be able to enjoy a barbecue cookout, yard games, and a wine selection while you take in the sights and sounds, making this an excellent start to your weekend and month, no matter how you slice it.
After you enjoy the great outdoors, get down for a cause a bit later at Godfrey Daniels. That’s where The Hook will host an American Foundation for Suicide Prevention benefit beginning at 7:30 p.m. The start time is earlier than originally noted, because the band has lined up not one, but two openers — Queens, NY-based Dogwood Last and New Hope, PA folk/soul singer Terez. Admission is a suggested donation of $10, with all proceeds going to benefit the AFSP. One dollar from each copy of The Hook’s debut album, “Moonshine & Honey,” sold at the show will also be donated to the cause.
Then, kick your late-night into overdrive, courtesy of a new partnership between Lehigh Valley Underground and electronic music collective, 610 Underground. We’ll team up to host a dance music party featuring local and regional DJs including Philo, Mourning Glory, and an all-vinyl set from Easton’s own Mari Nelli. The party will kick off right after The Hook concludes at Godfrey Daniels at 10 p.m., with admission free until 11.
That’s certainly not all — rustic rocker Matt Dellecker will kick things off at The Banana Factory at 5 p.m., while young singer-songwriter Sea Rae will provide The Broadway Social with its early programming beginning at 6 p.m. Jordan White returns for another tour of his Molly’s Irish Grille & Sports Pub residency at 6 p.m., while singer-songwriter Darin Jellison will provide the tunes at Domaci beginning at 7 p.m.
And, as we indicated at the beginning of this post, there will be additions as we finalize them.
We gave you a lot of information, so here’s the lineup as it stands, in completely-digestible format!
