Heading to Philly on Saturday? ‘Rock the Troc’ for Music Education

Due to take a road trip to Philly this weekend? Naturally, you can find plenty of live music in the nation’s fifth largest city almost any night of the week.

However, if you’re going to go that far, you might as well rock for a cause.

The Trocadero Theatre (1003 Arch St.) will host Rock the Troc, a benefit show in support of Play On, Philly!, a music education organization which provides “daily musical instruction in communities that have little access to music education.” The benefit is organized by Radio 104.5 Philadelphia personality Cole Selleck, and will feature the music of regional acts including Sonnder, Summer Scouts, The GoAround, Commonwealth Choir, June Divided, and Shane Henderson of Valencia. Between-set entertainment will be provided by DJ John D, while students from Play On, Philly! are expected to join Henderson onstage during his set.

Advance general admission tickets are $15, with an increase to $20 the day of the show. Tickets are available here.
