Blue Heart’s Revelry, Amojo Highlight ‘All-American’ First Friday at Godfrey Daniels July 6
The July 2018 edition of the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series is beginning to take shape, and it promises to be an all-American affair on July 6.
First, we already know that we’ll be enjoying An American Celebration with Scott Marshall & Marshall’s Highway on the Banko Beverage Co. Beer Garden stage on the South Bethlehem Greenway. In fact, the full season lineup for the Beer Garden can be found right here. More is coming on that later.
Now, we add to the lineup with a twin bill at Godfrey Daniels beginning at 7:30 p.m. and featuring Easton Americana band Blue Heart’s Revelry, with opening support from Lehigh Valley Underground Discovery Stage winners Amojo.
Blue Heart’s Revelry is a five-piece that has made a name for itself over the past year and a half with its raw, eclectic style, which is showcased on its debut LP, “Until You’re Gone.” The band has been featured at a number of notable Easton-area venues, including Easton Public Market and as part of the State Theatre’s ‘Stage on Stage’ series.
Meanwhile, Amojo’s laid back, rootsy sound can be best described as “Island Folk.” Led by John and Maureen Harrington, the band completes its lineup with Jon Butler (percussion) and Bob Fowler (bass), and has burst onto the scene in recent weeks following a series of performances at The Great Pennsylvania Music and Arts Celebration (PennMArt).
This evening at Godfrey Daniels will start with Amojo at 7:30 p.m., followed by Blue Heart’s Revelry at 8:15 p.m. The full July 2018 Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series lineup is coming soon!
