LVU’s 2018 Halftime Report

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through 2018. But, as of today, we are.

It seems like just yesterday that we were looking optimistically toward a year of fresh possibilities, as well as gearing up for the music community’s biggest party of the New Year. That was all almost six months ago.

Since then, we won a few awards (and the musicians in our community won countless more). As we got into the spring, #LVUFirstFriday ramped up (we even announced that we’re giving away a Martin Guitar this September), and we had the chance to be a part of conferences, festivals, and opportunities for discovery. We’ve shared many meals together and planned many more, all in the name of building community around local music.

The best part about it? There is still so much more to come!

We are embarking on the #LVUMagicSummer, which officially kicks off next week with the July 2018 edition of the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series, and continues through various showcases, jams, festivals and more, all the way up until the one-year anniversary of First Friday on September 7. On top of that, we’re starting to put some plans together for the fall and winter, which will surely keep things warmed up, even as the weather turns colder.

We’re ready for what is to come in the second half of 2018, with an eye to the future to ensure that 2019, 2020, and beyond are even better for all of us. Thank you, as always, for being a part of the journey!
