Ralph’s Reviews: Joe Janci – Bordertown Blues
It had been four years since Joe Janci’s last release, but his latest, “Bordertown Blues,” is a full-length soft rock album that is easy on the ears and well worth the wait.
The title track to this album is the perfect starter; a catchy tune that draws you in and peaks your interest, so that you can’t help but listen to the rest of the album to see what Joe has in store for you. “Do the Joe” invites you to get up and dance, while “Stony Ridge” and “One More Kiss” have that stomp-your-feet, bluegrass kind of feel to them.
“I Keep Falling in Love With You” was co-written with his brother, Jack, who provides outstanding vocal harmonies throughout that are a real pleasure. Overall, this entire album — recorded at Holland Studios in New Jersey — has a little something for every music lover out there.
Joe appears regularly at many venues throughout the Lehigh Valley and New Jersey, and hosts Open Mic night at Godfrey Daniels from time to time. You can preview or purchase all of Joe’s music on CDBaby.com, Amazon, and more. You can also find his music on YouTube via the stream below. Give this one a listen or, better yet, get out and catch a live performance nearby and pick up a copy of “Bordertown Blues” while you’re there.
