On one of the hottest days of the year, South Bethlehem came alive with music as we prepared to bring summer to a close.

We started at the Bethlehem Farmers Market, where it was “LVU Day” featuring multi-time First Friday performer and former American Idol contestant Jordan White. Even with the heat index soaring well past 100, Jordan delivered the goods to marketgoers on Thursday afternoon.

Speaking of bringing the goods, acoustic pop duo January Noon did just that at Comfort Suites Hill to Hill Grille for the return of Sounds of The Underground: Live!, presented by WLVU: The Sound of The Underground and The Balcony Show. The pair sounded tighter than ever, giving the series new life on the SouthSide!

We’ll be back at it today! First, Karen & Amy Jones of The Beautiful Distortion will join us for Out to Lunch on the South Bethlehem Greenway from 12-2 p.m. Then, we’ll conclue the #LVUMagicSummer in style with the One-Year Anniversary Edition of the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series, presented in conjunction with SouthSide Arts District, Martin Guitar, Banko Beverage Co., Comfort Suites Bethlehem, and 610 Underground.
