LVU Wants to Know: Who’s Your Favorite Non-Local Artist?

You may have noticed — between some Beyond the Valley reviews and an increased propensity for dishing out the industry knowledge — that we’ve been trying to increase our worldly awareness of late.

It’s a big, musical world out there. With summer behind us, things have calmed down locally and allowed us to see the wider, vibrant sonic forest for the trees… and we want to keep branching out!

So, we’re curious to learn about the artists you know — either from a live performance, a digital playlist, or pure happenstance — that we may not have encountered yet. Your choices can be solo, duo, or full band, in any and all genres. The only rules? They’re still independent, and they aren’t from the Greater Lehigh Valley.

Tell us, People of The Underground: Which acts from outside the area have you buzzing? Let us know in the comments!

  • I’m a big fan of Texas storyteller Ray Wylie Hubbard. Swamp music with a wry sense of humor.

    • Wow so much good music out there! I’m a big fan of Robert Randolph and the Family Band. NJ native… that …..well if you ever get to see him live puts down a totally unique and awesome groove!
