Saturday night marked the beginning of a partnership (outside of our usual First Friday fun) with the legendary Godfrey Daniels. To celebrate, we brought in two of the region’s most prolific and versatile jazz pop artists.
Philly resident soft idiot, Justin Roth’s solo-based bedroom pop/folk brainchild, is on the heels of putting out their second (SECOND!) full-length of 2017. “Stillborn”, released in March, was one of my favorite albums of the year, DIY or otherwise. On December 8, 2017, “Rain Wins Another Year!” comes out.

By now, you know that we’ll be throwing the Lehigh Valley Underground 2nd Birthday Spectacular at SteelStacks on Friday, January 19 inside of the Fowler Blast Furnace Room. Lehigh Valley Underground is teaming with legendary South Bethlehem listening room Godfrey Daniels on #GoUnderground at Godfrey’s, a collaborative effort intended to shine the folk venue’s prestigious spotlight on many of our region’s rising stars.
November’s edition of the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series featured our most diverse lineup yet. Performances from 10 artists across eight venues spanned more genres than ever, including rock, blues, hip hop, reggae, and even showtunes.
A couple weeks prior to the release of their debut, six-track demo, Lehigh Valley-based post-hardcore/emo band bloodmoon has given its fans another teaser by making second single, “Talk,” available on its Bandcamp page.
