We had a blast last night, capturing Night 1 of our SouthSide Arts & Music Festival lineup (presented in conjunction with ArtsQuest). Now, it’s on to Night 2!
On Friday night, festival season arrived to South Bethlehem.
We’ve been waiting for this day for months.
The Lehigh Valley Underground free stage lineup at the SouthSide Arts & Music Festival is designed to give local artists — both established and emerging — a platform on which to shine.
One of those emerging names — singer-songwriter Cass Noelle — has been shining at SteelStacks Open Mic, presented by Billy Bauer for several months. Now, she moves into the festival realm, set to perform at Molly’s Irish Grille & Sports Pub this Saturday, April 21 from 6-7:30 p.m.
We caught up with Cass to talk about the gig, her influences, and everything else she has going on.
In addition to 10 free performances presented by Lehigh Valley Underground at this weekend’s SouthSide Arts and Music Festival, patrons who purchase a pass at SteelStacks.org will have the opportunity to check out 20+ paid shows from regional- and national-touring artists.
Enter Michigan native Mike Mains into that equation.
Art comes to life this weekend on the SouthSide, when seven jury selected muralists will create original works on the South Bethlehem Greenway.
We have a summer’s worth of jamming on the South Bethlehem Greenway ready for you, beginning on Friday, May 4!
We’ve had a busy month so far.
It started with the first #LVUFirstFriday of spring, and then continued this past weekend, when we ventured out to Lancaster for the 10th Annual LAUNCH Music Conference.
In between, there has been plenty else going on in the Valley, and there’s even more where that came from, like these…

Lehigh Valley-based roots rockers The Hook are in the midst of a busy spring. In addition to releasing their full-length debut, “Moonshine & Honey,” last month, the foursome is also featured in our Voices column in the spring edition of Fig Bethlehem (as depicted above).
Through all of this, the band is still finding time to give back.
