Today, The Quinn Spinn is joined by Josh Klein, the multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire behind Hairy Dudini. Hairy Dudini’s new album, “Vol. 1,” drops this Thursday, so you can be sure that we’ll hear a couple of live, in-studio tracks from the record on today’s show.
The energy was raucous and the musicianship was on-point late Friday night at The Funhouse, which was packed near capacity to hear the soulful sounds of Hambone Relay and The Groove Merchants.
Since before LVU’s inception, we’ve followed the career of The Groove Merchants. A chance encounter with this big-sounding blues band about a month before Launch Day has made us fans ever since.
This Friday, a lot more people will have the opportunity to share in the funky five-piece’s soulful sounds.
What do you do when you find yourself out of town on a Saturday night, but you still want to cover a show?
I had that question answered for me this week. I knew that I was going to be in the Philly area this weekend for some personal life stuff. As I looked through my Facebook events, I noticed that our friends Roi and the Secret People had an upcoming show at The Grape Room in Manayunk.
From there, I knew I had plans.
