Husband and wife duo Dave and Amy Lewis, best known musically as Mo7s, have returned with a fresh sound sure to make you “Move.”
We’re wasting no time putting together the May 2018 lineup for the Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series, and we have a special treat for you at Godfrey Daniels.
We hope you enjoyed LVU Review-A-Palooza. It seemed popular with y’all, and we’ll look to do it again whenever we decide to skip town for a few days.
Anyway, we’re back in the saddle, ready to deliver a fresh plate of…
Can’t-Miss Shows of the Week!
Artist: Mosey Beat
Back in August, we saw funky Lehigh Valley jam band Mosey Beat perform on a beautiful Tuesday night at the Provident Bank Main Street stage at Musikfest. It was there that bassist Dave Abraham estimated that approximately 75% of their live performances are improvised.
Artist: Stoney Run Group
Released: Oct. 13, 2017
Genre: Alternative Rock
The Groove Merchants have a big show next Sunday, February 18, when they’ll open for nationally-known bluesman John Nemeth at Mauch Chunk Opera House in Jim Thorpe.
To start the week, they’ll share their excitement on WLVU: The Sound of The Underground.
Local blues/funk/rock standouts The Groove Merchants have had no shortage of notable performances over the years.
In just a couple weeks, they’ll add yet another to their impressive resume.
Earlier this decade, Kill the Broadcast was one of the most successful original bands on our local scene. The band played multiple Musikfests in their first incarnation, and were recognized as the 2012 winners of WZZO’s now-defunct Backyard Bands competition. In addition, the band had notable gigs in Philadelphia, playing venues including The Grape Room and Legendary Dobbs.
Friday night at SouthSide 313 was one marked by stellar musicianship, improvisation, and good vibes.
The party will continue this Friday night, even after the official Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series festivities end — and we have The Groove Merchants to thank for that.
