After our brief photo editing/Starbucks break, Allentown JazzFest rolled on into the evening at Allentown Art Museum on Saturday with a pair of renowned, world-class jazzmen.
Today, Allentown JazzFest and the Allentown Art Museum team up on today’s programming to provide another diverse musical experience against a unique, visually engaging backdrop — and LVU will be there to capture the magic.
Allentown has coined itself the City Without Limits. It’s fitting, then, that it plays home to a festival associated with a genre which abides by that same mantra.
The 2017 edition of Allentown JazzFest started off as only a festival befitting of this genre should: by offering a diverse programming lineup; one where the unexpected is the established norm.
You can tell that Allentown JazzFest is getting close when Preview Night rolls around. Thursday night, got their first taste of this year’s bold new artwork and enjoyed live music inside of the festival’s newest — and perhaps most interesting — performance space.
Performing Arts Live!, Inc., the non-profit organization behind Allentown JazzFest, wants to inspire a richer and more inclusive appreciation for the arts in the Lehigh Valley. A grant from the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation would go a long way — and so would your help!
As previously announced, this year’s Allentown JazzFest will take place throughout the city’s Hamilton District from May 3-7. To ensure an event of the highest quality, Performing Arts Live, Inc. — the non-profit which runs the festival — is seeking public support.
Friday morning, Performing Arts Live released the first portion of the Allentown JazzFest 2017 schedule.
