While we prepare to head out the door and capture the best moments from Day 2 of PA Bacon Fest, we want to briefly look ahead to Monday’s edition of The Quinn Spinn, airing at 7 p.m. ET on WLVU: The Sound of The Underground.
To close out October, The Quinn Spinn is joined by Bret Talbert, a local musician behind the project, B Willy Circus. Bret recently recorded a slew of new material here at Studio 73, and we’ll hear a couple tracks and learn more.
Playoff baseball is underway, and The Quinn is just a wee bit distracted by the ongoing Cubs/Nationals battle in Game 3 of the NLDS. Still, that doesn’t stop us from bringing you the finest in (mostly local) independent music on The Quinn Spinn, including…
Kara Hartzell is a singer-songwriter hailing from the Lehigh Valley whose debut EP, “When I’m Home,” is set for release on October 5, 2017 at SteelStacks. Kara joins The Quinn Spinn to tell us what we can expect, and to perform a couple of original selections live on the show.
As noted in this week’s Can’t-Miss Shows of the Week, folk singer-songwriter Kara Hartzell will release her debut EP, “When I’m Home,” at SteelStacks Open Mic hosted by Billy Bauer this Thursday, October 5 at 9 p.m.
Before we get to Thursday, though, The Quinn Spinn has a preview in store!
As we continue to hint around about big things on the way for WLVU: The Sound of The Underground this fall, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that The Quinn Spinn, which airs on the station Monday nights at 7 p.m. ET, is planning a big fall season full of new, live episodes.
And, if you’re an artist – or just a person with a story to tell – we want you to be part of our plans!
Let’s address the elephant in the room: Musikfest begins Friday. Just like last year, you can be sure that Lehigh Valley Underground will have daily previews of the action as the days go by.
Until then, there are plenty of non-‘Fest related activities taking place throughout the area this week, and we’re here to tell you about ‘em!

July looks to be finishing strong. As we inch closer to Bethlehem’s annual, ten-day party, there’s plenty going on around the Valley to get you warmed up, concluding with another special event put on by LVU and American Spirits Roadhouse.
Enjoy, if you will, another heapin’ helpin’ of…
